Are you ready?

Tons to catch up on, so lets get started.

American Gladiator premiered this week! woohoo! I was so pumped to see this. Overall I would give the show a thumbs up. I was worried about Hogan hosting it, but he didn’t do too bad of a job.  I don’t know the other host’s name (she’ s a judge on dancing with the stars) but she does an okay job too. I like her makeup on the show (which has nothing to do with the actual show, lol) The events are pretty sweet too. Very excited to see the old favorites back (joust, hang tough, and assault). I don’t like what they did with Pyramid. Was it even called that? This big foam pyramid is kind of lame compared to the awesomeness that used to be the event. oh well though… The new events (earthquake and hit and run) seem okay. I though Hit and Run was a little lame until i saw someone get smacked off the bridge. now it looks harder. Earthquake is growing on me. I think the biggest downfall of the show is the casting. Not so much the gladiators (i love titan, wolf, and mayhem! as well as crush, venom, and fury) but the contestants. they are kind of lame. not really people i want to root for. we shall see how it turns out though… so far the show gets my stamp of approval.

Also premiering (although it was last week and not this week) was Celebrity Apprentice. Come on Donald, do you really think you can go up against a brand new Grey’s Anatomy this week? The first episode was weak, although I was going to give it another try. maybe i’ll watch it online. It most certainly does not rank higher than Grey’s, so I guess (to make a horrible pun) Donald, you’re fired.

Now to a classic, the Biggest Loser! First off, Bob is writing a book due out this year! (its called Are You Ready? and you can pre-order it at Amazon already (and no, i have not done that!))anyway, to the episode. Bob and Jullian training together!? what? yeah, bad idea for two reasons: 1) the episode focused mostly on Jullian and would randomly throw Bob in to remind us that he was indeed still there. Lame. and 2) no one lost any weight! it was a horrible week for weigh-ins. they all looked like they were working so hard. not sure what happened….the challenge looked kinda of fun. a giant seesaw! my kind of challenge! of course the black team won. SICK. SO tired of those stupid brothers!! they won a phone call home and then got to pick three other teams to have a phone call too. I really think they should have gone with the three teams that finished after them, or at least the one team that almost beat them, but no! ugh. they can go home for all i care. They also won the temptation challenge meaning they won $5K. gross. like i said before: the stupid brothers can go home. I was surprised that the trainers got so mad at the people that ate. last season people always ate at those things and i don’t remember the yelling and disappointed looks. maybe i just missed the first one.

my three favorite teams are quickly turning into the pink team (even with the daughter, she is growing on me), the orange team, and the blue team. Happily enough, they are all BOB teams!! the only team i can’t stand is the brothers and then the other teams are okay, just nothing special in my book. The brown team went home. they were up against the yellow team. i was rooting for them to go home, but at this point, so early in the season, i feel horrible when they go home. later in the season you know the people will be okay at home. I just don’t feel that way about the contestants yet….. i hope they make it! overall, the episode was pretty good.
